At The Tangle Foundation, we empower women and girls worldwide by tackling the root causes of vulnerability to human trafficking. Our comprehensive approach addresses key areas including economic empowerment through sustainable opportunities, access to safe menstrual supplies and increased access to education and skill building programs. By strengthening these critical areas, we work towards a future where women and girls are protected, valued and able to thrive.
We provide menstrual hygiene products and education to women in underserved communities, ensuring their dignity and well-being.
Our initiatives offer skills training and support for women to gain financial independence and break the cycle of poverty.
We advocate for and provide access to education for women and girls, empowering them to pursue their dreams and lead fulfilling lives.
The Tangle Foundation is committed to addressing period poverty, lack of economic opportunities and access to education for women around the world. By providing affordable menstrual products and hygiene facilities, we aim to reduce the 12-18% of girls who miss school due to menstruation (UNESCO). This initiative will increase girls' education attendance by 50% (World Bank), leading to a 10% increase in women's economic participation (ILO). Our economic empowerment programs will provide skills training and microfinance opportunities benefitting 500,000 women in the next 5 years. This comprehensive approach will mitigate human trafficking by reducing vulnerabilities: 71% of trafficked women have experienced economic exploitation (Polaris Project). By addressing period poverty, access to economic opportunities and education, we can break the cycle of poverty and trafficking, empowering women to become change-makers in their communities.
